(We use a pair of SYRPHs when on location.) SYRPH is perfect for getting up close in the action and capturing breathtaking shots of surfers, skiers, kayaking, and other action adventure sports, or for quickly slipping in and out of filming scenes at more demanding film locations. The small, quiet design barely disturbs the environment allowing SYRPH to excel at water surface shots, incredibly close encounters with wildlife, and more.
Using our Hoverfly flight control system and partnering with a US frame manufacturer, we customized this system to create a true "grab and go" aerial video system. Lightweight and packable, it fits into its own case. A second case includes all necessary accessories (batteries, charger, props, etc.) Extensive field testing and customized flight control from Hoverfly offer a reliable and robust system in a package that's just the right size.
SYRPH pairs perfectly with the smallest active style cameras. Our system includes your choice of the Contour+ or GoPro Hero2. The system can also be fitted with a FLIR camera for industrial, law enforcement and saftey applications. We include the waterproof housing and a fixed mount specifically tailored for these cameras. Our added GumShoe anti-vibration mount helps ensure a smooth shot. Rather than wasting time rigging something yourself, our camera-specific mounts are lightweight, ready-to-use out of the box, and keep the camera steady for a smooth shot from start to finish.
